Sound familiar?

Well, let me tell  you – you’re not alone.  I didn’t put that headline up there just to scare you.  I put it up there so you could see that there are other people out there in your same predicament.  In fact, can you keep a secret?

I was in exactly the same spot less than one year ago!  And I don’t know about you but I have a wife and child to take care of.  For a while I was able to hide our dire circumstances from my wife but she caught on quickly enough when she started answering some of those nasty calls from the bill collectors.  Six, eight, ten times a DAY they would call -

When I tried to get my son in to see our Pediatrican he said -

So believe me – I understand where you’re coming from and I totally sympathize.

That phone call with the Doctor was the straw that broke the camel’s back, to say the least.  My wife threatened to leave me, and take our son with her, right then and there if I didn’t do something to pull us out of this tailspin we were in.   And I tried…Oh, how I tried!

 

Rrinnnngg…..Rrrriinnnggg….Don’t Answer It!

I had been trying for OVER A YEAR and I was barely breaking even.  No, that’s a lie…I WASN’T breaking even.  What I was doing was dragging us further and further into debt.  Credit card after credit card – MAXED OUT! To The Limit!

When we were first married I had a really good manufacturing job but shortly after the baby arrived the economy took a downturn and like a lot of people I ended up unemployed with a wife and child to support.  And I was one of those people who decided to go to work right out of high school so I had no college degree to fall back on.  And we all know what the job market’s like nowadays, whether  you have a degree or not.

But one night while looking for jobs online I came across an ad for a product that promised to show you how to make $10,000 a month just by building simple websites.   Now I had a little bit of computer knowledge and I had played around with some HTML on a gamesite that I visited a lot and I thought, “What the heck?  I don’t have anything else to do…I should try this.  What if I COULD make $10,000 my first month?  How hard can it be?  EVERYONE shops online these days!”

Well, I’m sure you know what happened next because it probably happened to you, too.  Of course, that product didn’t tell me anything about SEO or keywords or bookmarking or article marketing.  All it did was show me how to put a page of HTML online and include an affiliate link in it.  There was no mention of Adsense or article writing.  Nothing!  Just a page with some very basic HTML and an affiliate link.

After about a week of messing around with THAT guy (and a wasted $127 too, I might add!) I decided to do a little searching and see what this Internet Marketing chatter was all about.  And I came across a product that promised to teach me how to earn $5000 per month and it would be all Residual Income – I’d never have to work another day in my life!  And it was only $20 per month!

Well that sounded much better.  I’d happily trade $20 for $5000 every month.  So I gave it a shot and $200 later I was still no closer to putting the food on the table and paying off those credit cards.  And during those ten months I kept buying this product and that product – searching for some miracle method that would answer all of my prayers and get those wolves away from my door!

After that fateful phone call with the doctor a lightning bolt struck me right between the eyes!  I immediately set to work and over the next 5 days I re-read every single Internet Marketing product I had ever bought.  And there were TONS of them.  And as I read each one I pulled out the Steps that worked and then transferred that product off to the side so it would be out of my way.   Each of these Steps that I pulled out was one that I had already used and that I knew would work.  And by ‘Work’ I mean it would successfully generate traffic or it would successfully help me creat a backlink or it would successfully help me build a better blog.  Whatever it was supposed to do, it did it.

Over the next 2 days I organized all of these steps from all of these different marketing methods into a timeline. First find a decent web host, then find a niche, then keyword research, then buy a domain, etc. And when I was finished I realized that I had a successful method for every single step you had to take to make a money sucking website. And it had all been on my hard drive this whole time!

As you know I take great pleasure in tearing apart these so called “Internet Marketing Methods” that tell people they can make $1000 in 24 hours, or they can make $10000 in a weekend.  These marketers fail to tell people how long they worked BEFORE they launched their product.  It generally takes weeks or months of planning and preparation to launch a product and make $1000 with it in 24 hours but they just tell everyone they managed to do it in a day because that’s how long the sales page was actually up.

Anyway, as usual I’m rambling.  I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been following your checklist and I have to say it’s one of the most concise, to-the-point, complete step-by-step methods I’ve ever seen in my whole entire life!  My biggest complaint with all of these “Methods” is that the person selling them always manages to leave out two or three of the most critical steps necessary for success.  I don’t think they do it intentionally, at least I hope not, but regardless, the steps are missing and the plan is not viable.

Your Smarter Internet Marketer, however, doesn’t skip a beat..er..step and I’m following it right now myself.  I hate to admit it, but I’m one of those old-schoolers who has alway been terrified of video but, like you said, if the Numa Numa guy can do it…so can I darnit!  LOL
